Top grossing mobile games

Tencent’s Honor of Kings reclaimed the top spot in August with $169.9 million, up $16 million from July, driven largely by China and boosted by a Hello Kitty skin event. Roblox slipped to second despite edging up to $157.7 million, continuing its steady performance through the summer holiday period.
The standout was PUBG Mobile, surging to $129.1 million, $27 million higher than July and its best month since January 2023, helped by major content updates. Last War: Survival fell to $122.9 million, down $13 million, while Whiteout Survival climbed to $120.5 million on the back of steady updates.
Royal Match held flat at $114.5 million, showing continued consistency, while MONOPOLY GO! dipped slightly to $98.3 million as more monetization shifted to Scopely’s web shop.
Two big comebacks rounded out the top ten. Pokémon GO hit $69.9 million, its best month in over a year thanks to global GO Fest events, while Clash Royale surged back with $67.4 million, lifted by new modes, live-ops, and renewed buzz from Twitch influencers.

Mahjong Soul from Yostar climbed sharply, pulling in $4.7 million thanks to a summer event and a wave of anime-themed collaborations that reignited fan spending. Puzzle & Dragons (English) also surged, hitting $13.2 million on the back of its Haikyu!! crossover, a reminder of how potent anime tie-ins remain even for decade-old titles.
In China, 我的花园世界 (My Flower World) tapped into casual appeal, grossing $3.1 million during its global gardening festival event. NCSOFT’s Lineage W found renewed traction through a Tekken 8 crossover, netting $6.5 million in August. KONAMI’s プロ野球スピリッツA (Pro Yakyū Spirits A) scored $10.0 million, boosted by the Japanese baseball season and limited player packs tied to real-world events. Another new arrival, Wuthering Waves from Kuro Games, grossed $11.5 million, extending strong launch momentum for its anime-styled RPG. And NetEase’s evergreen 梦幻西游 (Fantasy Westward Journey) pulled in $15.3 million, lifted by its culturally resonant Qixi festival update.
