An upcoming independent PC title, Piroker, has entered its playtesting phase, introducing a variation on traditional poker mechanics within a roguelike deck-building format.

The game centres on a core design shift: all players are dealt the same hand each round. Rather than competing based on card draw, outcomes are determined by player decisions - specifically, the selection and use of in-game modifiers known as “Relics.”

In each round, participants receive identical community cards, creating a level playing field. Strategy emerges through how those cards are used. Relics modify scoring rules and enable different playstyles, allowing players to produce varied results from the same starting conditions.

Two players may construct identical hands, such as a flush or two pair, yet achieve different scores depending on their chosen relic combinations.

The game supports up to eight players in a free-for-all format, designed to highlight competitive strategy under identical conditions.
