Sett secures $15 million Series A to scale AI-powered mobile game tools

Israeli startup Sett has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The company’s platform leverages artificial intelligence to automate creative testing, in-game asset generation, and live-ops optimisation for mobile game studios. The new funding will be used to further develop Sett’s AI capabilities, expand its engineering team, and strengthen its global market presence, catering to mid- and large-tier studios seeking to streamline content production.

Fortnite officially resubmitted to U.S. App Store amid payment policy changes

Epic Games has officially resubmitted Fortnite to the U.S. App Store via its Swedish developer account, leveraging recent legal changes that allow external payment links. The move follows a prolonged legal battle between Epic and Apple, where U.S. courts ruled in favour of allowing developers to offer alternate payment methods beyond Apple’s in-app purchasing system. This submission marks a pivotal moment for Epic, as it aims to re-establish Fortnite on iOS under new financial terms.

PlanetPlay: 79% of players adopt eco-friendly habits after “green” games

A survey of over 181,000 PlanetPlay users has revealed that 79% adopted at least one environmentally friendly habit - such as reducing single-use plastics or conserving energy—after playing eco-themed mobile games. The results demonstrate the potential of mobile games as a force for positive behavioral change, aligning player engagement with real-world environmental impact. PlanetPlay’s Play2Act programme, which gamifies sustainable choices, has been a central driver of this success.
