This week’s roundup: Vietnam’s mobile gaming market hits $825M, Rezar expands its publishing strategy, and Apple updates EU App Store rules under the Digital Markets Act.

Vietnam Mobile Gaming Market Reaches $825M

Vietnam’s mobile games market has reached $825 million in annual revenue, driven by strong smartphone adoption and a young player base, according to a new report by Gamota. Mobile titles now account for the majority of the country’s gaming revenue, attracting increasing attention from international publishers.

Vietnam also ranked among the top seven global markets for mobile game downloads. However, the report notes a shift in the country’s monetisation model, with developers increasingly using local payment systems instead of traditional in-app purchase channels.

Rezar Expands Publishing Strategy

Mobile games publisher Rezar is expanding its publishing strategy with increased investment in user acquisition and live operations. The company is also partnering with independent studios to bring new titles to global audiences.

Apple Updates EU App Store Rules

Apple has updated its App Store policies in the European Union following regulatory pressure from the DMA. The changes affect how developers distribute apps and manage payments on iOS, potentially opening new options for mobile game publishers.
