In today’s roundup, Scopely moves to acquire a majority stake in Loom Games in a deal valuing the studio at more than $1 billion, CBS extends the Survivor franchise into mobile through a Zynga partnership, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile rolls out globally on iOS and Android.

Scopely Acquires Majority Stake in Loom Games in ~$1B Unicorn Deal

Mobile publisher Scopely has entered a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Loom Games, the Istanbul-based developer of the hybrid-casual mobile game Pixel Flow!. The transaction values Loom Games at over $1 billion, effectively granting the studio unicorn status—defined as a privately held company with valuation exceeding $1 billion.

Pixel Flow! launched in late 2025, has been played by more than 10 million users globally, and is reported to have climbed into the top-20 grossing mobile games in the United States. As part of the deal, Loom’s co-founders will continue to lead the studio under Scopely’s ownership.

Why it matters: This acquisition strengthens Scopely’s position in the competitive hybrid-casual segment and underscores accelerating consolidation in mobile game development.

Survivor 50 Franchise Extends to Mobile Games Through Zynga Partnership

CBS and Zynga announced a new mobile gaming initiative tied to the 50th anniversary of the Survivor reality TV franchise. The partnership will introduce tie-in mobile titles across Zynga’s existing platforms, including Words With Friends and Zynga Poker.

The multi-title effort is designed to engage Survivor fans with themed events, integrated challenges, and cross-promotion across Zynga’s portfolio. The news was reported as part of broader entertainment-to-gaming crossover strategies this week.

Why it matters: This marks a notable IP extension from a long-running TV franchise into casual mobile gaming, signalling continued interest from mainstream media brands in mobile first experiences.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Mobile Sees International Release Yesterday

The tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile launched internationally on 20 February 2026 on Android and iOS after regional early releases. Developed and published by Ubisoft, the game places players in team-based multiplayer combat, adapted for touch controls.

The title had previously soft-launched in Latin America in mid-2025 but received its global rollout this week, expanding access to competitive mobile FPS gameplay across major markets.

Why it matters: This international release follows industry trends where premium console/PC franchises are increasingly adapted for mobile with full cross-region support.
